Day 1: Kurundu-Oya Falls
Started from Gampaha @ 4.30am in order to reach bandarawela before dusk knowing we had a long day before us. Was past kandy by 6.30am and padiyapelella by about 9am(road conditions were really bad). After getting directions from plenty of people, 1 person mentioned the above route(special remarks) which we decided to take.
Day 2: Pessa Falls, Passara
In order to get to passara we took the ella-namunukula road since the view and the scenery from this road was breathtaking….
Planned to visit mini world’s end @ madulsima but couldn’t due to time constraints (spent some time getting our directions right to get to the falls)
Day 3: Liptons Seat & Bambarakanda Falls
Visited the Liptons seat in the morning but was unfortunate since the whole area was covered in mist the whole time we spent there.
In the afternnon left for bambarakanda falls knowing we had to come back early in order to avoid getting caught up in the mist.. although we left the falls early the streams nearby was so tempting that we spent about 2 hrs bathing and the moment we got to the main road the whole area was covered in mist..
The most unforgettable part about the trip was driving 12km from haputale through Ambetenna to the bunglow where we stayed taking 2 1/2hrs and asking my 2 cousins to walk beside the road the since the visibility was not even 2m……
