Hike to Dumbanagala (1642m) in a clear day

Dumbanagala is a remarkable mountain at Knuckles massif and this is my second visit to Dumbanagala.

Retraced the beauty of Sea-forth road

We have visited the Bulathkohupitiya area recently while we going to another function of one of our friends. It was a clear day and had enough water level to feel nature’s voice in this magnificent environment. We have visited several waterfalls and fortunately, there was enough water at this time. Also, we have climbed up to the Olu fall and caught the amazing beauty hidden at the top area.

Hike to Bathalegala and some attractions of Pilimathalawa

Bathalegala is a famous destination among amateur hikers and this is my second visit to Bathalegala. It is the ideal time to mention about other historical attractions around Bathalegala.

Cascades of Ranamuru Oya

Ranamuru Oya flows parallel to Ranamure-Duwili Falls trail forming number of cascades. Some of them are more than 30m tall. This is our exploration of waterfalls of Ranamuru Oya.

Sesserukanda / Res vehera kanda 350M

During my previous visit to Sasseruwa the rainy weather conditions halted my uphill hike to a mid point so after a long pause it was time for completion.

In searching of highest peak of Ambokka range (1159m)

Ambokka mountain range borders Kurunegala-Matale districts. The commonly known peak of Ambokka is Kondagala and highest peak is known as Salagama Kanda by locals. Earlier we have been at Kondagala and this is our journey to highest peak of Ambokka.

2 Days Trip to visit “Pitawala Pathana” & “Kukulamalapotha”

Few years ago we build a “Kuti” in Kukulamalapotha area & donate to Monks. Several monks lived there time to time & from last two months of time no one there. Therefore we plan to visit there & clean the place before this years “Was Period”.

Visit to “Govinda Hela” in Siyabalanduwa After Handover New House to Poor Family In Kalawelaragama

We got information regarding another poor family in Kalawelaragama in Monaragala. Last September month we went there & saw their actual family condition. After that we decided to build a new house for them. Under lots of difficulties we were able to build a new house for them. We requested assistance from so many people but only very few people gave their support as usual.

පුංචි සීගිරිය(Punchi Sigiriya) /කුඩා ගල – Dehiaththakandiya

After climbing Henannegala in the morning we headed towards Dehiaththakandiya to conquer another iconic mountain. The name of it signifies its importance and its a prominent landmark of eastern Sri lanka.

අලි පිරුණු හෙනන්නේගල (Henannegala)

In 2013 for the first time I visited Maduru oya park I was lucky to visit Henannegala cave temple and I was fascinated with its appearance. I wondered if I could climb it but there were few restrictions like the archeology site been a part of the temple and the national park.

Maaragala / මාරගල (Alawwa)

Recently while I visited Potuhera to see a waterfall with Eshan we decided to climb an iconic rock at Alawwa. This Peculiar rock could be easily seen from Walakumbura of A6 highway. The first time I saw it was 3 years back while I was on Yogamuwakanda of Polgahawela.
