A day spent at dried Habarana Lake and Minneriya Park | |
This was the first official trip I had after joining. This was to Habarana Village by Cinnamon for 3 days and we have enjoyed a lot and I and two of my friends had a small adventure on massive Habarana lake as it was fully dried. We walk around the lake and crossed it and again walked for nearly 2Km on the river to explore the atmosphere to get an understanding of the status of a dried lake. |

Memories of 14 Days Trip – Day 7 – 8 | |
We left from Anuradhapura around 8.00 a.m & reached to Jathika Namal Uyana around 9.00 a.m. We spent couple of hours there & came back to entrance around 11.30 a.m. From there we went to Ibbankatuwa Wewa. We had good bath there & we left to see Ibbankatuwa Megalith Cemetery. Now this place developed & maintain nicely. |

3 Days Trip to Donate School Items to Batuhena Primary School in Elehera Bakamuna & visit Nearby Important Places | |
Same as last year we arrange donate school items for rural school. This time we selected Batuhena Primary School in Elehera Bakamuna area for our donation. 81 children & 6 teachers in that school. |
Camping at Kaudulla “Olumaluwa” campsite | |
Kaudulla national park probably is the best location to watch elephants in Sri Lanka if you are a big fan. But the exposure given is very much less in my opinion comparing to other national parks. |
My first experience of Wilpaththu NP | |
Wilpaththu NP (විල්පත්තු ජාතික වන උදයානය) is the largest (131, 693ha) and oldest national park in Sri Lanka. It is famous for visiting Leopards and wild bears. Special feature of Wilpaththu NP is having water filled natural lakes-Willus. |

December 11, 12 and 13th were the days and it was a long weekend which was not to be wasted. Our decision was to go on camping in Udawalawe or in Wilpaththu but ultimately a decision was taken to go for Udawalawe. |
Ridiyagama safari park a novel experience | |
Ridiyagama Safari Park was declared open in March 2016. Construction of the project started in 2008 and first phase was completed at a cost of Rs.2,600 Million and opened for public on 28.03.2016. |
