Sidupiyanila to Lipton Seat

Sidupiyanila is a catholic seminary where they train students who are at their final stage of being a priest. This place was the home for our first trip as well as for 4 another trips.

Devil’s Staircase tour

As per my experience, Devil’s Staircase road is the most hardest, dangerous and beautiful road in Sri Lanka. I knew about this on 2012 and I was lucky to visit there at the beginning of 2013.

Camping at Pansadara campsite, Udawalawe

December 11, 12 and 13th were the days and it was a long weekend which was not to be wasted. Our decision was to go on camping in Udawalawe or in Wilpaththu but ultimately a decision was taken to go for Udawalawe.

Velangolla pathana has a group of wild elephants. This was kind of a risky journey to visit these elephants.

Every year we handover school items to rural school. Last time we went to rural school in Badulla. This time we choose Narangamuwa Primary School in Laggala Pallegama to our project.

Next day morning we start our journey & we left from Kantale to Sigiriya. Around 2.00 p.m we reached to Sigiriya. We spent few hours in Sigira rock & came back around 5.00 p.m.

Wangedigala, Wangedi Kanda and Balathuduwa

We all gathered near to the Pettah railway station at 4.00am and the bus left around 4.15am. We stopped the bus for breakfast after passing the Ratnapura and again we stopped the bus at Pambahinna junction to buy lunch packets.

Next day morning we start our journey & first we went to Trinco Maritime & Naval Museum. It is very useful for school children to get good knowledge.

Next day morning we start our journey & went to Nilaweli Beach.Next we went to Pigeon Island. After 10-15 minutes boat ride we reached to island.

Next day morning we start our journey & went to Trincomalee. On the way we went to Kiralagala Site. Before Horowpothana town we have to turn left & have to go few km’s to site. It is very important & very beautiful place. Its main attraction was very beautiful & massive pond. It was well planed & massive Arama complex.

Next day morning we start our journey & went to Anuradhapura. On the way we went to Awkana Raja Maha Viharaya. Around 3.00 p.m we reached to Anuradhapura.

Along Walawe River to Kalthota Duwili Falls /වලවේ ගග දිගේ කල්තොට දූවිලි ඇල්ලට

Kalthota Duwili Falls is fascinating water fall made by Walawe River and it is called western waterfall of Walawe River. Kalthota Duwili Falls is situated in between Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces. There is a proper road from Kalthota to Duwili Falls and you can enjoy the pilot view of Duwili Falls from there.
This is our attempt to get the rare view of Duwili Falls from it’s base.
