මල් තුහිනෙන් හැඩ වුණු නුවරඑළිය | |
මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට අඩි 6,182ක උසින් පිහිටි නුවරඑළිය නගරය අවට ප්රදේශවල පවතින සාමාන්ය උෂ්ණත්වය සෙල්සියස් අංශක 4 – 5 දක්වා පහත වැටුණු විටක මල් තුහින දැකගත හැකිය. මෙසේ උෂ්ණත්වය පහත වැටීමත් සමඟ දැඩි ශීත දේශගුණයක් අළුයම් කාලයේදී නුවරඑළිය පුරා පවතින අවස්ථාවන් හීදී මෙම මල්තුහින පතිත වේ. මේ කාලය නුවරඑළිය පරිසරය ඇතැම් විට සාමාන්ය ජනතාවට ඉතා කටුක බවක් ගෙන දේ. |
Single Tree to Kikiliyamana via Shanthipura | |
Single Tree is about 2105m and Kikiliyamana about 2143m and they are the border of Nuwaraeliya from Western side. Reaching to the both peaks is very easy and no need of special permission. The Single Tree road is situated near to the Race Course (6.961011, 80.767516). We can travel up to the Swarnagiri maha viharaya Temple via the narrow road by any vehicle but after that we have to walk or else go by a 4WD vehicle. |
Rail Hike + Mountain Hike from Haputale to Ohiya via Thangamale Sanctuary | |
We got back to rail track before about 500m to Idalgashinna Station and walked towards the station along the track. We had out snacks at the Station and started the restof the journey at about 4.00pm from there. (Advisable to walk in an average speed from haputale to idalgashinna part as you will miss the beauty from idalgashinna to ohiya if it gets darker. Not like 9 years back now I was fully equipped with lot of information which aided me to pull this off! Rahala Kanda (900m) – රහල කන්ද and man-made ponds! | |
