Off to Galaha

Galaha and Delthota are two beautiful entities at Kandy district but hidden from routine travelling routes. These are some travel destinations around Galaha and Delthota on my way to Rikillagaskada.

A pinch of Horana

Horana is a beautiful city surrounded by greenish paddy fields and small hills. There are different places in and around Horana including archeological sites, temples and lakes. This is my overlook of some places at Horana.

Beautiful Rumassala /

Rumassala / Rumassala is a major tourist attraction in down south. This is kind of a superficial touch on this beautiful and historical place.

Historical Gall Fort /

Galle Fort is the largest fort built by Europeans in Sri Lanka and it is a UNESCO world heritage site. There are a lot of stories behind the fort.

Roaming at Bambarakiri and Sera Falls

This beautiful Sera Ella fall, the subject of several poems, is situated in the Dumbara Jungle that is split into two sections, both 10m in height. Kitul Canal, from the Kaudagammana Mountain, and the Hunumadala River, from the Gonamada and Deyuthu Gammmaduwa mountains, flow in unison to form the Puwakpitiya River. This later joins Thelegam River, at which point the fall is created as the water tumbles down a protruding rock face, visible from Dumbara Jungle

Knuckles Rilagala (1604m)/

Rilagala (රිලාගල) and Selva Kanda (සෙල්වාකන්ද) are two lesser known peaks of Knuckles forest reserve, situated between Knuckles five peaks and Kalupahana area. This is our journey to Rilagala from Knuckles five peaks.
