  • Manigala mountain

We started our journey early morning from Colombo and reached to Reverstone around 10am. Then we parked our vehicles and start walking along the gravel road up to the mountain. Reverstone is a little mountain and if we can get permission from SLT you can drive to the top of the mountain by your own vehicle.

We came to the top of the mountain and we asked to enter to the SLT tower site. Fortunately that officer gave us the permission and we saw the surroundings over there.

After that we came down to the main road and went to the Pitawala plains. We run along the plains up to mini world’s end and spend lot of time over there.

As we arranged our Lunch from a village home we had it at 4pm. Then we started find a place to spend the night. Finally we decided to stay the night at Telgamu oya. There is a huge rocky plain at the middle of the river/oya. And then we had a cool bath and got our dinner from the nearest village home. We just slept on the rocky plain. We don’t use any tent or any safety equipment. There was a huge wind and we all had a good night.

We were at a little bit doubt about the wild elephant, because they have been at the paddy field which is far away from us about 500m.

But finally we got up early morning and left from the Knuckles to Mahiyanganaya.
