In April month everybody busy due to Sinhala New Year. We planned to visit our relatives house in Mawanella. We planned to go by train. On 29th morning we took the “Podi Menike” train from fort. It was fully packed with people due to it was long weekend. On the way we planned to first visit to few important places. We got down from Pilimathalawa station around 8.15 a.m. From there we took three wheel to went Lankathilaka Viharaya , Ambekke Dewalaya & Gadaladeniya Viharaya. After visiting above places we came to our relative’s house around 12.30 p.m. We spend rest of the day very happily with them.
Next day morning we planned to visit another few important places near our relative’s house. So after our breakfast we went to Aluthnuwara Dewalaya , Giruwa Ambalama , Galgene Viharaya & Ambalama at Rukulagama Road. We visited all places & came back to relatives home around 11.00 a.m. After heavy lunch we got ready to our return journey. We left 2.30 p.m from relative’s house & came to Kadugannawa station. From there we took train to Fort. Our Awrudu visit finaly became very useful journey, because we able to visit many important places during our visit. So we completed another very good trip with lot of sweet memories.
We managed to visit below mentioned places.

3.Gadaladeniya Viharaya
4.Aluthnuwara Dewalaya
5.Giruwa Ambalama
6.Galgene Viharaya
7.Ambalama at Rukulagama road

When you are traveling Pilimathalawa – Daulagala Road secondly you will find this viharaya. This viharaya situated in very beautiful place. This viharaya built by “Senadilankara”one of minister of Gampola Kingdom’s King “Buwenekabahu IV”.

- Ambekke Kataragama Dewalaya
This also situated at Pilimathalawa – Daulagala road. One of most important place for wood carving in Sri Lanaka. This was truly Wood Carving Gallery & you can see the very beautiful hundred of different types of wood carvings. This Dewalaya built by King “Wickramabahu III” in Gampola Kingdom.

3.Gadaladeniya Viharaya
When you travel in Pilimathalawa – Daulagala road first you will find this viharaya.This viharaya famous for its “Stupaya”. According to temple history details this was the biggest “Gal Viharaya” in Sri Lanka.

4.Aluthnuwara Dedimunda Dewalaya
You have to travel in Mawanella – Aluthnuwara road to reach this Dewalaya. This was very popular place in the area & lots of people coming to this Dewalaya.

5.Giruwa Ambalama – Aluthnuwara
This Ambalama situated infront the Dewalaya’s entrance road.

6.Galgane Raja Maha Viharaya
This viharaya situated near the “Aluthnuwara Dewalaya”. This viharaya also called “Punchi Dambulla”. You have to go nearly 1 km to reach this temple. It’s vihara Geya situated in large “Lena” .Natural “Diya Ulpatha” inside the “Lena” & it used for “Budha Poojawa” You can get nice views of “Bathalegala” , “Dewanagala” & “Samasara Kanda” from this temple.
